The Journey Home is appreciative of gifts of any size. As you decide on the level of your contribution, consider the following:
- Just $3.50 pays for a one day bus pass that would allow a person experiencing homelessness to attend job training or look for work or permanent housing
- $16.50 pays for a bus pass for a week
- $25.00 pays for one night of shelter for an individual, including meals and services
- $50.00 can provide kitchen and basic household supplies (like bedding) for a family moving from homelessness into permanent housing
- $100.00 can help an individual on the way to gainful employment, by providing equipment or uniforms for a job training program
- $600.00 can furnish an apartment for an individual or family moving from homelessness into permanent housing
- $2,500.00 could allow a family to move out of homelessness by covering security deposit, first and last month’s rent, while linking the family to a permanent housing subsidy and supportive services like counseling and case management
