Your donations contribute to the vision that homelessness in Baltimore will be rare and brief. The Journey Home relies on donations from people like you to respond to unique needs or circumstances within our community. Thanks to your generosity, Baltimore is able to provide health care services, case management, job readiness training, educational supports, and housing to thousands of people experiencing homelessness each year.
The Journey Home is appreciative of gifts of any size. As you decide on the level of your contribution, consider the following:
Just three dollars and fifty cents pays for a one day bus pass that would allow a person experiencing homelessness to attend job training or look for work or permanent housing.
Sixteen dollars and fifty cents pays for a bus pass for a week.
Twenty-five dollars pays for one night of shelter for an individual, including meals and services.
Fifty dollars can provide kitchen and basic household supplies (like bedding) for a family moving from homelessness into permanent housing.
One-hundred dollars can help an individual on the way to gainful employment, by providing equipment or uniforms for a job training program.
Six-hundred dollars can furnish an apartment for an individual or family moving from homelessness into permanent housing.
Two-thousand and five-hundred dollars could allow a family to move out of homelessness by covering security deposit, first and last month’s rent, while linking the family to a permanent housing subsidy and supportive services like counseling and case management.
